The Gladstone Seafarers Centre is Not for Profit organisation that provides support to Seafarers visiting the Port of Gladstone and cares for the welfare of all Seafarers and those associated with the Marine Industry.

1 ticket = 1 duck.

All 3,000 ducks are entered into the water at the same time and the first duck over the finishing line is the winner.

Terms & Conditions

This raffle is being held for The Gladstone Seafarers Centre Inc. ABN: 29300274736, Cnr Alf O`Rourke and Bryan Jordan Drive, Callemondah, QLD, 4680.

The Raffle commences on the 26th of March 2024, closes on the 30th of August 2024 and will be drawn on the 31st of August 2024 at East Shores Parklands Gladstone at 2:30 pm. The draw will be conducted using a manual draw process. Ticket buyers do not have to be present at the draw. Winners will be contacted by email within 2 days after draw. Winners may also receive a phone call from the raffle organisers. Details of the Winner(s) will be displayed at www.facebook.com/GladstoneSeafarers and rafflelink.com.au/2024gscduckderby. 1. The GSC Duck Race is produced by Gladstone Seafarers Centre, the “Producer”, a charitable organization, whose mission is to provide support to people of the Sea throughout the Gladstone ports region.

2. A minimum of 3,000 ducks will be entered in the race. Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entries.

3. All ducks entered are and shall remain property of the Gladstone Seafarers Centre. Once the ducks are launched, they are on their own. No attempt to free or interfere with any duck is permitted, unless deemed necessary by the race committee.

4. The GSC Duck race will start at 2:30 PM on Saturday 31st August 2024. The racecourse will be established by the race committee. The GSC Duck Race reserves the right to postpone or reschedule the race or to determine the winners by random drawing in the event of inclement weather, Acts of God, or other circumstances beyond the Gladstone Seafarers Centre’s control.

5. A number will be attached to each duck. The individual’s names associated with the duck numbers on the first ducks in order of finish as gathered in the duck trap or collected by the Producer will be awarded prizes. Positive identification will be required to claim any prize(s). Winners will be notified by phone and must pick up their prize from the Producer by 30th September 2024.

6. A copy of the Rules and Regulations, a list of Prizes and, after the event, a list of Prize Winners can be obtained from the Gladstone Seafarers Centre by sending a written request with self-addressed stamped envelope to: PO Box 370, Gladstone DC QLD 4680.

8. No equivalent prizes or exchanges will be provided in lieu of the designated prizes. Any taxes and fees are the responsibility of the winner. By entering, the entrants release the Gladstone Seafarers Centre, its officers, directors, volunteers, staff, sponsors and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to the prizes. By entering, winners’ consent to the promotional use of their names and likenesses without any additional compensation.

9. The winner of any prize must be over 18 years of age and must pay any applicable tax or fees associated with the prize. If the prize winner is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian may claim the prize on their behalf. Winner need not be present to win.

10. Winners will be announced following the Gladstone Seafarers Centre Duck Race. Winners will also, where necessary, be notified by telephone. If a winner does not claim his/her prize within 28 days of race date, or if the Race Committee is unable to contact a winner due to insufficient or illegible contact information, or if a winner is deemed ineligible to win a prize, Producer will select a substitute winner by random drawing of entry tickets. All prizes will be awarded.

11. All decisions and interpretations of rules and regulations will be made by the Gladstone Seafarers Centre or its representatives and its judgment is final.

12. In case of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances preventing the running of the race, ducks will be selected randomly, and winners will be notified by telephone.

13. This event is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

 

Persons under the age of 18 years are unable to enter.

Prizes are not transferable and non-cash prizes are not redeemable for cash unless otherwise stated or permitted by state regulations. Prizes may be substituted, subject to each participating state's legislative requirements. Some images are display only and may not be a true reflection of the prize.
