The Abbey Museum of Art & Archaeology is committed to enriching people’s lives through the celebration and exploration of the fascinating stories in human history.  We do this through our many events and programs.

Tickets are priced at $5 each, 5 tickets for $25, 10 tickets for $50, 20 tickets for $100

Prizes

1st Prize valued at $2,576

1) Medieval Pavilion - This Medieval Pavilion is styled after many examples found in extensive art works of the 14th and 15th centuries. It is made out of 15oz waterproof and rot-proof cotton canvas, standing approximately 4.2 metres tall with a 2.1 metre wall height and 4.2 metre diameter. It is raised with a two-piece hardwood centre pole, joined by a steel ferrule and secured with perimeter guy ropes. The Pavilion has been hand painted and heat sealed using Tintex fabric paints to create a simple, elegant and appropriate look for a medieval tent. Designed by Red Hart Reproductions from Brisbane, QLD.

2) Medieval inspired Fire/Cooking set - Portable camp fire and cooking set complete with stove, tripod, kettle saw, cauldron, and cooking pan. The tripod and cauldron are reproductions of artefacts found in the Oseberg Viking ship burial in Norway. The kettle saw is based on depictions in medieval art. This set is created by Make Your Own Medieval, a family run business in Brisbane, QLD.


2nd Prize valued at $305

1) Cat and Rabbit themed Medieval pottery. Includes two bowls, two plates, and two drinking cups. Pottery is 14th Century Italian Sgraffito style handcrafted by Flaming Gargoyle Pottery who specialises in medieval reproduction and is based in Murrumbateman, NSW.

2) 'Abbey Made' Teddy Bear The attire for "Sir Bruno" has been hand-made with love by our volunteer sewing team here at the Abbey Museum. He is one in a set of six teddies to be released in The Abbey Shop on October 1st.

3) Abbey 2020 Traditional Mead bottle # 001 signed and numbered by the mead maker. This Abbey 2020 Mead was on sale this past July, and sold out in just 5 days (although we saved a few for this raffle!).  The mead maker is Amrita Park Meadery, in the Noosa Hinterland, QLD.


3rd Prize valued at $90

1) Abbey 2020 Spiced Mead signed and numbered by the mead maker. This Abbey 2020 Mead was on sale this past July, and sold out in just 5 days (although we saved a few for this raffle!).  The mead maker is Amrita Park Meadery, in the Noosa Hinterland, QLD.

2) Custom Clay Cups - Set of two medium clay cups with a blue enamel coated inside and rim. Handcrafted in Australia for the Abbey Medieval Festival and are engraved with ‘Abbey Medieval Tournament’ on the underside.  Available in The Abbey Shop.

3) Trust Me, I'm a Doctor Card game - created by Half-Monster Games, an indie board game company based out of Brisbane, QLD.


4th Prize valued at $90

Terms & Conditions

The Raffle commences on the 1st of September 2020, closes on the 30th of October 2020 and will be drawn on the 31st of October 2020 at Online at 10 am. State(s) where tickets are on sale NSW, NT, QLD, TAS. This raffle is being held for THE ABBEY MUSEUM OF ART & ARCHAEOLOGY 1 - 63 Abbey Place, Caboolture, QLD, 4510.

Persons under the age of 18 years are unable to enter.
