A luxury trip for two to Antarctica
On the tour In Shackleton’s Footsteps
Valid 8th-27th November 2026
20 days – Ushuaia to Ushuaia, Argentina –| Aurora Stateroom Superior Twin Share
Aboard Aurora’s newest vessel, Douglas Mawson, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime polar adventure in the footsteps of ‘the Boss’ himself. Journey from the hushed, luminous ice of the deep south to the wildlife-rich sub-antarctic haven of South Georgia, tracing one of the greatest survival stories ever told.
Experience the raw beauty of the Antarctic Peninsula, setting foot on the frozen continent before heading north to the dramatic Antarctic Sound – the gateway to the legendary Weddell Sea. Push further east into these ice-choked waters, sailing as far as conditions allow to the very place where Shackleton’s Endurance was crushed by the pack ice.
From here, set a course for Elephant Island, the stark and wind-scoured refuge where Shackleton and his men finally reached land after an astonishing 497 days at sea. On the final leg, follow the daring route of the James Caird across the storm-lashed Scotia Sea to South Georgia, where this extraordinary saga reached its triumphant conclusion.
Throughout the voyage, your expert expedition team will bring this epic journey to life – sharing captivating stories, pointing out iconic wildlife, and offering rare insights that deepen every moment of this unforgettable exploration.
